OK40: TINY APARTMENT
Fall 2018
Course: Good Design
OK40 is a hypothetical living complex that is affordable and completely self sustained by collecting rainwater and solar energy. For this project, the student was tasked to design a tiny apartment within the building. Each unit is 200 sq. ft. and does not have running water, as every floor has a communal kitchen and bathrooms. I designed my apartment around a sculptor who values space for creation and requires ample storage for supplies and everyday living. With these factors in mind, I made the apartment “transformable” in a myriad of ways, from a convertible couch turned desk/platform to a sliding closet unit.
