Work In Progress: Stair Chair

Course: Sculpture II

The idea behind the “stair chair” is to use existing stairs to create more places in public for conversing and relaxing, or even provide a more comfortable option for the homeless. I plan on it being recyclable made from layered found cardboard in order for it to be strong, sustainable, and lightweight. The prototype shown is made from wood, foam, and spray insulation.
